Dunelm don’t do online gift cards....

Why is this? My nearest is 25 m away. I have to drive there, wait in massive queue and then wait in massive till queue to buy one.

Then the revenue to can’t spend it online, and has to do the same thing.

I remember buying online ASOS vouchers 13 years ago.

Are Dunelm deliberately trying to make sure they don’t make a profit? 🤔I’m totally bemused by this in the 21st century.

Lots of big shops are like this. Boots too for example.

It means that any big discounts for which there isn't a lot of stock in stores will be paid for in full rather than via gift cards which is money already received.

But Boots buy up to the High Street gift card thingy.

Dunelm don’t.

So just give cash or transfer money with a note to say spend in Dunelm.

Every other high street store manages. I don’t particularly want to give cash. And judging buy the huge availability of gift cards elsewhere, no one else does.

Only Dunelm customers. I just think it’s crap customer service. They cba to set it up.

In the current economic climate I would never consider gift cards. If the store goes into administration, gift cards can become the lowest priority giving the person a fraction of their value, sometimes zero.

You're far safer getting the person a nice card and putting a cheque in it. Just as personal. The difference is there is no risk of loss.
