I'm reading so many conflicting reviews about these types of food delivery, I'd like to try something like this as I find deciding on what to make and making it really boring. Thought this would be a good alternative.

Does anyone have a recipe box they can rave about?

I used both a bit during lockdown and we ended up stopping hello fresh still with refunded credits as it was so bad.
Off food.. Chicken green and slimey and the cheapest cuts if thigh meat with lots of skin etc. I hadn't realised the chicken was halal.
Veg unusable.
Customer service diabolical.
Gousto we didn't have any issues with at all. But once the vouchers etc ran out we couldn't afford it

Hello fresh has changed my life. I used to get so worked up every day thinking what to cook. I have more thinking energy and am actually saving money by not going to the supermarket every day.
They are very tasty too.
Had mouldy veg on a couple of occasions, just send them a photo asap and they knock a few quid off the next week.

We’ve had both. I found the Gousto recipes easier to follow and we still make several of them regularly. There’s a wider choice of meals on Gousto. However, the kids reckon the Hello Fresh burger is up there with Five Guys!

We've been having HelloFresh boxes for the past year and love them for the convenience and meal variety. I've got a free box to give away to friends if you want to PM me at your email address OP

We are with HelloFresh. We've been lucky with the quality, it's always been very fresh.

There was one occasion where they said they had an issue with missing ingredients and couldn't guarantee our delivery so refunded us the full charge. The delivery arrived albeit late and was only missing some bread rolls so that was a weeks food for free which was a bonus!

We find that we are saving money using Hello Fresh and I couldn't imagine not using them now.

I was with Gousto for about three or four years in total. It was brilliant for a long time, and very handy during the first lockdown when I couldn’t rely on the supermarkets.

However, I cancelled it — with something of a heavy heart — because I noticed a dip in quality of the meat and fish. It always used to be free range and organic, and the farm or supplier would be on the label. But recently they started white-labelling everything with Gousto logos. And there was nonsense wording on the meat packaging — ‘from trusted farms’ which is totally meaningless when you think about it, and says that the meat is neither free range nor organic.

I did find there was always plenty of choice, everything from pwoper stodge to grainy whole food type stuff. And I’ve kept a bunch of the recipe cards and still make a lot of the meals regularly.

Mindful Chef I’m with at the moment and like a lot. It’s very different to Gousto though. Far fewer options, although all the recipes are dairy and gluten free (I think, certainly wheat free). Some of the ‘mindful takes’ on certain meals are downright weird. Others are totally delicious. I have frequent issues with meat packaging coming apart in transit but the customer services are good and always put it right quickly. But you can see where the meat and fish has come from, and it’s always free range and usually organic, which is a big plus for me.

Hello Fresh I’ve never bothered with, I can never get excited about any of the recipes.

I tried Hello Fresh a couple of times, but the volume of packaging was huge and we found the proportions in the recipes - half as much meat and twice as much veg - didn't suit our family needs.

I like Simply cook especially now I can add the shopping items directly from their website onto my Tesco online order.
