Baby's long hair

My nearly 9 month old has ridiculously long hair already. The longest bits at the front are easy past down her nose.
During the day she either wears a top knot or bunches but I leave it down at night as I worry that the Bible could come loose and end up in her mouth.

There's no sign of a parting or style when it's loose, and is rather not get it cut.

Has anyone else experienced such a hairy baby? I'm thinking that if I have a fringe cut it'll just constantly need trimming....

Ds had his first hair cut at 13 weeks and has had it cut every 6-8 weeks since. His hair grows incredibly quickly.

I do hope no bibles go into your child’s mouth!

Beyond that, I’m afraid I am no help as my ex decided that lo was not allowed to have long hair.

Does it bother her? I've known friends get their babies hair trimmed just to keep it out of their eyes/stop food getting smushed in as much.

No experience as I make bald babies... I was just sat snuggling a sleeping 1 year old with one small gift of fuzz on his head and saw your title haha my dd is 5 and hasn't had a single haircut yet

Ha ha she has been compared to a troll by her big sister!!

I don't think it bothers her, who knows!?

My son has really fast growing hair. As a baby it formed an impressive muller through as only seemed to grow long at the back rather than the front. I ended up cutting it as it was really quite pronounced and did not want to push a miniature Pat Sharp around in a pram. I just trimmed it myself very carefully. Still have to cut his hair every four weeks now!

My babes were both hairy. I cut the fuzzy bits off the end of DDs then just let it grow and used clips to keep it back out of her face or bunches etc, it never bothered her while she slept I don’t think...
DS has had his done by me a couple of times but he’s now 16 months and it’s at this eyes again... but will he stay still?! No. Grin

My dd has been called The Grinch for nearly 14 years. Her hair grew upwards as a baby!! The name stuck. Her dsis sent her the pic!

Thanks everyone. I'll definitely leave it then as I don't really have any obvious signs it's bothering her. We call her weight, poor thing!

If you do decide to cut it I beg you to get it done professionally. How hard can it be I thought. I turned my 11 month old son into a Cilla Black tribute act
Then when I tried to rectify it he looked like Richard III

Icytundra · 12/12/2020 17:27

Oh I definitely would I can't cut paper in a straight line!
