A donation of sanitary products?

Due to a recent urgent hysterectomy I've been left with both unopened and opened packs of sanitary products. Rather than binning them I'd like these to go to other women who may appreciate some free products.

Do you think it would be appropriate to contact a local homeless / refugee aid charity? Thank you.

Yep. Period poverty is a thing and am sure they will be appreciated. Unopened packs can go to food bank but otherwise refuges etc will take them

Definitely worth checking which organisations near you can distribute them. I know my local food bank usually ends up "overstocked" with sanitary products now people are more aware there is a need for donations.

This might be useful - I saw it on an email from boots www.boots.com/floating-editorial/cha-/live-floating/the-hygiene-bank

The Hygiene Bank was set up near me and I know Boots have been very helpful in taking it to other locations. As others have said read the small print - I am not sure the HB will take open products. Could you post those on a local facebook group - someone in need might feel safe to directly message you.

Thanks All. I hadn't heard about the Hygiene Bank before.
