Which side of the supermarket argument are you on?

Asda have announced they're closing as a thank you to staff. The others are insisting they'll stay open.

Personally, I don't think any shops should be open on Boxing Day, any year, but I know many don't agree.

Boxing Day won’t be paid an enhanced rate this year anyway, as it falls on a Saturday.

The enhanced pay will be for working the Monday the 28th, the bank holiday. Go figure.

Cheap turkeys can be bought on Christmas eve. I bought 2 fresh crowns from Tesco on my way home from work last year. Both for under £10 so there is no need to have a shop open to do this.
