Too heavy for the dentist chair?

Iv been referred to have my wisdom tooth out.

I get so anxious sitting on the dentist chair anyway, it always wobbles when I get on/off.

I think I’m a stone over the weight limit.

Iv been referred to a really good dentist but I’m so nervous they will say I’m too heavy.

I’d call them now and check. You don’t want to have that conversation in the waiting room.

I’m sure there will be somewhere that can accommodate you. Flowers

Yes, call them this morning and explain/enquire if there's a weight limit. Tell them you are anxious too. Hopefully they will be able to put you at ease and if not, ask to be signposted elsewhere.

There are many dental practices that have chairs for heavier people. Ring, be honest and they can refer you. Better that than breaking one x

You might also ask to be referred to the Public Dental Service, they have bariatric chairs. The dentists there can also take longer with appointments if you are anxious.

How heavy are you? Usually chairs have a max weight of 21 stone but quite a few go up higher than that. Ring and ask them if you're worried.

I'd ring and ask. I'm sure they will have been asked before. Hope it works out for you
