Thankfully roofers coming tomorrow (weather permitting) but I'm in bed with a bucket balanced under the leak and it's driving me insane!!

No spare beds / rooms. I'd suffer the floor but toddler is still in with us and I can't leave her.

Put a towel in the bucket to absorb the noise.

It isn't working Sad but thanks. Maybe I need a bigger towel (this one is already soaked through actually so I'll change it now!!)

Yes to the bucket but can't you move the bed?

We had a water tank in the loft burst and ended up with 4cof us sleeping in the boys' bedroom for a, week until we replaced the boiler with a combi boiler.

Its a leak through the light fitting (middle of room, that has been secured by an electrician so is "safe") but the damn bed is so big there is nowhere in the room it can be moved that its not under the light fitting? Plus I can't move it myself anyway. I'm currently using an empty drawer and a bucket in that with towels to protect mattress that only just dried out from original leak.

FML at the moment!!

Can you not move mattress to another room or sleep on sofa

Could you tie a long piece of string from the bulb into the bucket so that it goes down the string instead of dripping?

I’d also use bin bags or a waterproof cotsheet to go under/around the towel to minimise any leaking from that.

Good luck!
