My Sisters children live in Australia. We want to send them some British sweets/biscuits snacks to try that you cant get over there.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Kids are all under 10

Disclaimer: my knowledge is based solely on my watching “Nothing to Declare” on Sky Witness Grin
Australia appears to have very strict laws on what foodstuffs can be imported/posted in to their country. Judging by the numbers of people who get fined and have their gifts of foods/snacks/sweeties confiscated, maybe you should check to ensure your gifts end up at your chosen recipients and not in the incinerator at the mail office.

Oh yeah! I know those bad boys, used to have them all the time as a child.
Also @FadedRed it’s ok to send stuff as long as you say what it is - they don’t mind packaged stuff, it’s more things like fruit and veg, wooden stuff, basically anything that might bring in some insect.
My uncle had a mango farm in Qld and we went to visit and they wouldn’t even let us bring dried mango back into NSW. Had to scoff it all at the airport.

I would be wary of sending things with chocolate. It's the middle of summer there.

I would stick to things that aren't likely to melt.

As an Australian who moved to the UK, I was particularly impressed by Jaffa cakes

You can get Jaffa cakes in the supermarket. Coles stock them.

@TheHoneyFactory

i just bought my DH the large chrissy novelty pack of jaffa cakes from our local supermarket so can defo get them here! honestly apart from monster munch and prawn cocktail (sorry but just no) crisps i think most things can be found here now days (weirdly alot from the reject shop/cheap as chips etc)

the only thing my DH misses/cant find is weet a bix(?) or vitabix (?) - basically the UK version of weetbix....

It's possible to get UK Weetabix in Australia. I've seen them in the British section of Coles and Woolies. I used to buy them until I reluctantly adjusted to Weet-Bix...Grin

I met someone in Australia who got her mum to send her over a box of prawn cocktail crisps but they were stale by the time she received them.

My sister's favourite sweets a child were always Extra Strong Mints. Whenever she comes back to the UK she seems to get her hands on a packet within minutes of getting off the plane.
