Kids' parties, or Kids parties?

I.e. Robot Robbie's Kids' Parties
I.e. Robot Robbie's Kids Parties

Any ideas? thanks. I think with the apostrophe after the s of Kids, so Kids' but I might be going mad.

I would say Kids'. The party of the kids, plural.

Robot Robbie's Kids' Parties

DownWhichOfLate · 07/12/2020 12:56

Yes, it’d be “kids’” but most places don’t bother!

MyNameForToday1980 · 07/12/2020 13:03

Kids is plural
Kids' is plural and possessive

So it depends if the party is for kids, or belongs to kids.

As you've already stated that the party belongs to Robbie (by using 's at the end of his name), then I'd presume the kids are plural, non possessive.

So Robot Robbie's Kids Parties.

Sorry all, I should have explained. I'm getting a bit confused!!

The parties are by Robot Robbie, e.g. he's a party entertainer for children's parties?

It's for a business selling parties to children (or their parents)

In the light of this does it make it Kids' parties?

Really confusing, sorry if I seem dense.

You need both apostrophes - Robot Robbie's Kids' Parties. The parties are for kids and belong to Robot Robbie, so both need a possessive.

insiwinsi · 07/12/2020 14:36

thanks spiderlight, I thought so, just wanted to check I wasn't going mad!!
