Please tell me what to do with my hair (photos)

I need help and suggestions with my hair (appointment on Saturday not been cut since June). As you can see from photos i have a lot of challenges - dry, fine, calf lick at the front, high forehead. I would love to chop it all off and start again but i have a large jowelly face and I don't think it would suit me. Because it is so fine i need to wash every day, which means its dried every day, hence the damage 😢

All suggestions welcome i'm feeling a bit down about it!! If anyone has any photos that i could present to my hairdresser that would also be helpful.

I have a calf lick at front which appears when I grow my fringe out. Maybe a fringe?
I'm not a fan of all one length hair unless hair is really thick otherwise it tends to make it look finer.
Locely colour hair, have you asked hairdresser for suggestions or maybe an app with suggestions?

The colour's beautiful, and I think other than then ends, it looks in great condition. I'd probably cut what was needed to get the worst of the damage off, then a sharp chin length bob perhaps?

The colour is gorgeous OP. Mine is the same at the ends. Fine and a bit tatty. It’s hard to tell your face shape from the photo but blunt cuts are best for fine hair.

Cut off a couple of inches from the bottom and don't go near layers again. Absolutely gorgeous colour!!!

If you want something a bit more adventurous, I reckon this woman has a similar face shape and hair type to you and looks awesome (she's a bit older though)

Thanks for the compliments about the colour, the photos are quite flattering in that respect although the roots are not great. I had thought about a bob or maybe a side fringe. I know it's difficult to tell from the photos, my face shape suits longer hair but unfortunately i can only get so far. I agree also that layers make it even more wispy so i'm not going down that road again.

It's just like mine op. Have you got anything like a Revlon one step or a big round brush? When you dry it get the entire front of your hair and dry it forward. Give it lots of volume to the roots.

I'll see if I can find a vid. I'd get it cut blunt which makes it look thicker. I use a silk pillowcase and the difference is amazing. No frizz or fluff when I wake up, my hair looks the same as the day before.

Brainygaga · 07/12/2020 11:26

Ok no I haven't got anything big hair related but with Christmas coming and my DH fishing for ideas i can ask for this - so a revlon one step? I've heard of silk pillow cases before - off to google now.

I can't find the video I was thinking of. Annoying! Basically I take the front hairline around my forehead of hair and blow dry it forward with the one step. The one step is underneath the hair so I'm giving it a root lift. I feel like I explained that really badly. Blush

There are lots of videos of doing a blow out with it though.
