Help! 11 month old with terrible wind keeping him awake

I’m at the end of my tether!
DS is 11 months and was previously a really good sleeper but this last week or so he’s suddenly been really affected by wind and it’s taking us ages to settle him at night then he wakes himself up writhing and farting.

He’s always been a windy baby but it doesn’t seem to bother him during the day and it hasn’t affected him in the way it is now (long loud farts that would be funny coming from such a little boy if they weren’t causing his discomfort)

He’s a great eater and loves his food. He was under a dietician to be assessed for CMPA but has been discharged from the service as they don’t think he has it (was referred due to eczema and reflux which are both largely managed now).

I’ve tried not feeding him the classic windy foods at bedtime and it does help but last night he had scrambled egg with tomato on toast and a bit of Ella’s apple crumble and he was the worst he had been.

Anyone had similar or got any advice? I’m
Going to keep a food diary so I can see if there’s a pattern.
I’m also a bit limited on what he will eat as although he’s a great eater he doesn’t like anything raw like carrot sticks or pepper sticks etc he likes everything cooked and a bit softer at the moment

I have a v windy baby! I reckon it's an immature digestive system so he's not given foods that tend to set him off - like beans - and I'm trying a probiotic to see if that helps.
Have you looked at non ige cmpa? My older DD (5) has it and it's a delayed gut reaction for her rather than eczema etc. I'm guessing you've cut out dairy already to see but if not it's worth trying xx

I haven’t looked at that no thank you I will have a look
A probiotic is a good idea, do you use one you would recommend?

I think there are a few decent ones but at the min I'm using Udos infant choice I think. He's a bit better but also had a bug a few weeks ago which might explain some of the sensitivity. It's hard though - I'm quite conscious of not feeding him anything too much for him when he's not at nursery in the hope he's not up half the night with trapped wind!

A bit late, but try gently bicycling his legs.

I had a baby just like this! Have vivid memories of walking around the lounge jiggling him up and down for what felt like hours in the middle of the night. He is now a still windy, smelly six year old but is slightly gluten intolerant. He has no need for a completely gluten free diet but keeping it to a minimum definitely helps. Maybe something to try as you say the toast and crumble night was bad for you both.
