Best Kindle model for elderly person

Hi, does anyone know the best Kindle model for elderly users? I'm looking for one with easy page turn facility, and clearest display. I'm a bit bamboozled by all the different models out there. The paperwhite looks good but there are various models.

Dm has a paper white. Was about £100 2 years ago. You can adjust the font size etc.

I have a paperwhite, bought on black friday for £70. Definitely worth looking at. I would go with the 'without ads' one which is a bit more pricey, but less confusing for an older person. You can make the white less bright with the display, but if she has sensitive eyes, the more expensive one has a softer lighting and looks very nice. I would also get a cover for it (mine was £13) that wakes the kindle when you open it, as its easier than fiddling with a little button at the bottom.

Are they just going to read books which they've paid for, or will they be reading library books?

Paperwhite is by far the easiest to use if they're paying for books. It's a bit more expensive but there's no web browsing, so all they can do on it is read books.

If they are more capable, though, or if someone is with them regularly, then the Kindle Fire is great to borrow library ebooks. With my library I can borrow 6 at a time though I know others can borrow more in other areas. My mum is 90 and I know she wouldn't be able to handle that, but if someone was there eg weekly then it would be manageable. She doesn't need to have a library card at the moment - you can sign up online.

Thank you, really helpful. No it's just for reading books and I'm going to let them use my family Amazon kindle account, so all they have to do is be able to operate the actual kindle to read the books, iyswim.

I'd go for a Paperwhite, then. It's literally just switch on and click on the book you want to read. It'll open at the page she was last on, so that should be easy for her.
