Food processor or blender

My trusty old Kenwood blender has finally bitten the dust and I ned to replace it.
Mostly I used it for soups and smoothies, and occasionally found it annoying that it doesn't mix up dry food well. I don't bake much though, mainly family birthday cakes and that's about it.
However I have a very small kitchen and don't have room to store something with lots of accessories.
Has anyone got thoughts/recommendations about what the replacement should be?

I had a stick blender for ages, could make smoothies and soups, breadcrumbs, pancake batter etc with it perfectly well, just takes a bit longer to get it all blended sometimes!
For baking I use a handheld electric mixer.

However, I've just bought a food processor - it seems pretty good (as never had anything like that so far - it can grate!) so far but storage was a big aspect in me not getting one for ages! It has a blender jug, a 'normal' bowl thing and a small one for grinding stuff that I'll probably never use.

(I'll still use my stick blender when appropriate, less faff to clean)

Thanks,Little Hat. Would you recommend the mixer you got?

I've only used it twice! But it was good at chopping/shredding carrot and celery, and grating cheese very quickly! Oh and making fruity smoothies. I've not had one before, so was a bit up and down about whether I'd use it much (and whether using it is worth cleaning it all out after, etc). Intending to make the odd paste etc and kids like smoothies so probably worth it.

It's a Bosch one, model no. mCM3501MGB, about £90. A few reviewers say they've broken off a bit of plastic on the bottom of the bowl which means it won't work any more which put me off a bit - I've been careful handling it but not had any trouble so far.
