I cannot think of a single thing that I want or need at this moment in time. Please give me some inspiration!

Instant Pot duo crisp.

WantChewbaccaForGood · 04/12/2020 21:13

Debra Searle's journal.
A magazine subscription.
I'm supposed to be thinking of more things but I don't know what I want.

Nutrigrainygoodness · 04/12/2020 21:18

I'm getting a filofax and lots of pretty inserts off etsy. I feel it will solve all my problems 😂

ZZTopGuitarSolo · 04/12/2020 22:15

@StCharlotte

Walking boots. The romantic fool!
Joining you in the walking boots corner. Mine have retractible spikes which makes them... even more romantic...?

Bloodybridget · 04/12/2020 22:23

Nothing, probably; I negotiated presents for children only with friends and family, and DP and I have agreed neither of us needs or wants anything - well, there's plenty I want, but nothing money can buy!

PontiacBandit · 04/12/2020 22:25

@Quornflakegirl

Nothing, we don't do gifts for adults. I buy myself what I like at any time of the year 😁
Same, although I've bought some perfume and nail polish to unwrap on Xmas Day. It's my birthday in early Jan so I will see if anything takes my fancy in the Jan sales
SpudsandGravy · 04/12/2020 22:26

Hopefully a new roasting tray :)

Pipandmum · 04/12/2020 22:26

I'm getting myself a candelabra from Anthropologie.

lastqueenofscotland · 04/12/2020 22:31

New walking boots. I’ve had my current pair since I was 14 and while they’ve done admirably for a cheap pair of off peg boots they are completely dead and falling to bits.

Holothane · 04/12/2020 22:33

Now cds, oodie, slippers, weighted blanket loads of nice food and treats,

veeeeh · 04/12/2020 22:36

Nothing as agreed.

Birthdays are for treats, Christmas is for Advertising. Sorry now, there is no way any grown up would need a gift if they are mature enough.

TroysMammy · 04/12/2020 22:36

Stellaris22 · 04/12/2020 22:49

Nothing really. Myself and DH don't really do gifts for each other anymore, focus on DD now. Don't do birthdays either.

Reached the point where we are able to just get anything we need, but sometimes do big purchases at Christmas. We are considering a new mattress this year (we sound very dull!).

thatwouldbeanecumenicalmatter · 04/12/2020 22:50

I've asked for a coin. I got lost down an internet rabbit hole and ended up looking at old coins and I'd love something like an Elizabethan half penny - I like the idea of holding something that old, that's passed the palms of so many people centuries ago.

I've found some more things I'd like!
English heritage wines - specifically plum and blackberry (2 different flavours, not a blend).

BasinHaircut · 07/12/2020 13:04

Ohh you guys are good!

DH and I don’t usually do gifts except a little something for DS to wrap and give to us ‘from him’. I don’t do birthday gifts for me either, I’m a bastard to buy for as I don’t like ‘stuff’ and hate the thought of wasting money on things that aren’t actually needed, but given we’ve barely spent anything this year and we will be at home just the 3 of us we want to treat ourselves.

I could actually do with a towelling robe so I think a naice one from white co or something might be a good shout.
