My 7 year old kicked me while sleeping? 9 weeks old pregnant.

Last night my son had a nightmare and came to sleep in our room. I was half-asleep when all of the sudden I feel his leg kicking my stomach. It did not hurt, and I know he did not do it on purpose. Should I be worried? It doesn’t hurt, and I am not bleeding. I have my first pre-natal care next Friday. I can’t call them because they told me when I made the appointment that if I have not stablished care, then they can’t see me. My primary doctor is on vacation. ER is full of COVID-19 patients. Should I be worried?

I wouldn't be. If it didn't hurt, you're not bleeding, I'm sure it will be fine.
A 9 week old pregnancy is pretty tiny and well cushioned!

I wouldnt be personally. At 9 weeks baby is so so so tiny and your body is big and strong around it. That balance changes as baby develops. But at this stage, I wouldn't overly worry.

The other side is that there is literally nothing anyone can do if there is an issue. So on that basis I also wouldn't bother calling anyone. I would however be on the phone to my mum and sister going on about it I'm sure!

At 9 weeks your baby will be well protected. I have 18 months between mine and I lost count of the amount of times ds1 full on jumped feet first on my bump much later on, ds2 was fine. It would have to be a pretty enormous kick to cause any damage especially early on when they are protected in your body. Don’t worry

My dog properly whalloped me on the stomach when I was pregnant and I was absolutely fine. If you're not bleeding I would suggest you're ok, you could always phone the department and ask over the phone if you should seek further assistance. I know they cant treat you but generally, people want you and your baby to be qell and could give you verbal reassurance.

They are very well protected in there and humans are well evolved to manage pregnancy and caring for existing children. It's very normal that bump 2+ gets a rougher ride than the first born (preparation for being the younger sibling Grin )
