How to get rid of a cough

Hi does anyone have any suggestions or magic remedies on how to get rid of a cough?
I'm desperate

Warm some milk with a quarter teaspoon of turmeric, a spoon of honey and black pepper.

Also pineapples are very good for coughs, fresh or juice.

Fisherman’s friends (the sweet) they are gross but totally work

Heart scan? sometimes coughs can be caused my abnormalities. I have one. Went away (to a degree) with exercise.
Usually get an annoying cough every year that lasts for around 4 months so annoying!
