Playmobile set missing parts

We’ve been given a playmobil set for my kids birthday but it’s missing loads of tiny parts. What can I do? I don’t have a receipt.

We were given it by someone who doesn’t live close so it would be easier not to return it to them and ask them to get the missing parts.

They do a missing parts service. It’s not free, but is low cost.

Ah thanks!!

@somuchtobits is the Playmobil guru on MN. She will be able to point you in the right direction for spare parts.

This is their spare parts service. I have used it many times! It’s amazing, even down to bits of string and cutlery.

Thanks @petalpower !

If the set is a current one still in production, you should be able to order most of the spare parts from the main Playmobil website. If you look at the bottom of the page, there is a "Find spare parts" button. You can click on that and enter the part number (without spaces) to see if it's available. The part numbers will be on the instruction leaflet for assembling the set.

If the set is an older one, some of the parts may not be available from the main website, but it's worth then phoning the customer services, as they can sometimes obtain them. If after that there are parts you can't get, then let me know. Occasionally a part becomes redundant but they then produce a new part which is practically identical. I can check on Playmodb (a fantastic website) to see if there is anything equivalent. I've had to do this myself recently for a couple of missing parts for a second hand set I bought.

Also, although it's currently stating on the Playmobil website that spare parts are taking 6 - 8 weeks to arrive, mine arrived yesterday after only 12 days! Which set is it that you have?

Amazing thank you! It’s this set and so only small but missing nearly a third of the parts... my child was devastated!

Hi, that set isn't current, but was only in the catalogue a couple of years ago. Do you know which parts are missing? I'm assuming you have the instruction sheet, but if not I can post you a link to the instructions so that you can identify the part numbers.

Twickerhun · 03/12/2020 15:16

30216912 x4
30036600 x 2
30244643 x2
30230740 x4
30627142 x1
30642514 x 2
30215540 x2

I’m missing the above it’s mostly the small connections parts

Thanks so much for any advice! It sort of feels like it might cost me more to buy the ‘spares’ than to buy a new set!

OP posts:
Twickerhun · 03/12/2020 15:36

The spares just to build a basic set rather that the additional lost 4 items which are more cosmetic would cost me £6. Really frustrating.

SoMuchToBits · 03/12/2020 15:51

The set isn't available any more on the Playmobil website, but I can see one on Amazon for £19.99. So probably still cheaper to order the spare parts. But very frustrating!

Santaisironingwrappingpaper · 03/12/2020 15:54

Sounds like it belonged to their dc and didn't come direct to you from a shop..

SoMuchToBits · 03/12/2020 15:54

At least all the parts are available from the main website though, so probably worth doing.

Twickerhun · 03/12/2020 15:59

I’ll give the order system a go! Thanks for all the help. I love playmobil sets but this issue is really frustrating me! The set was sealed in the outer box and the other two packets of bits were sealed but yep it’s a bit like it was a second or ‘preloved’ and repackaged carefully

SoMuchToBits · 03/12/2020 17:47

Can you ask the giver of the gift if they bought it new? If so, it would be worth contacting Playmobil customer services as they should replace the parts free of charge. It would seem odd though for so many parts to be missing from a new set. I've occasionally had 1 part missing, but nothing like this!

Twickerhun · 03/12/2020 18:34

I’m trying to frame the question about was it new and can I return it / call playmobil in a way which sounds friendly (because it’s a lovely gift but it’s made my kid sad that he can’t plain with it).

Ah, hope you get somewhere with that! Smile
