What do you give the lovely lady who does your cleaning?

The lady who comes to us is worth her weight in gold, she is fabulous.

What gift is nice and appropriate? Not a tub of Hero's or quality street!

Ours is self-employed. We give her a week’s wages extra.

I can assure you OP that you're cleaner is most likely on minimum wage if she's employed by an agency. I also would not be surprised at all if they have engineered a situation whereby she is not paid for want time off such as Christmas either.

Mine usually gets 30 per week. This is my first year having her but I was going to give her a voucher for 50 plus a Christmas candle set from the kids who absolutely love her. (She even bought my ds a birthday present of something he actually loves).

I'm sorry - you pay £75 a week for two hours of cleaning?!?!

That's insane! Even in London we pay £30 for two hours!
