WWYD - NDN is very sick and making loud noises

It's upsetting, she's an old lady and she has her family living with her. I live (and work) in my bedroom next door and can hear her making loud, awful, groaning noises like she's in agony. I've been round to ask if she's OK and is there anything I can do and they've said she's on medication for it (don't know what she has though), but I don't know what else to do. I didn't go in to see her of course. It's so awful. I find myself putting in earphones so I can concentrate but I feel guilty like I'm trying to ignore someone's pain. But I suppose under Covid they probably won't let me in, will they? And it'll probably offend them. WWYD.

Oh god that sounds awful. I hope she is on medication and they didn't just say that. Did you used to see a lot of her before all this lockdown stuff? How old is she? You do hear about elderly abuse, it wouldn't be that would it? Confused

Are there any outside agencies involved? Carers going on to support her and the family?

I think there is a carer or health visitor there now - I can hear voices talking. As I work in the back room all day I don't see who's coming and going from the front.

I don't really doubt the family, though I don't know them so well. The old lady I used to see at the bus stop sometimes, back when I was commuting, and she's a sweetheart, and her grown son always nods and says hi when we pass. I really hope she's OK.
