Anyone used Sharps for fitted wardrobes? Or any other recommendations?

Just that really! Good or bad experiences welcome!

Need a fitted wardrobe built for the master bedroom and can't decide who to go with. It's a slightly less than 3m space, no odd angles.

Thanks for any advice!

Oh, and rough costs would be handy if anyone has a ballpark figure!

We have a Sharps wardrobe.
Pros - well made, it was a difficult space and apparently our floor wasn't level (old property). Came when they said. Workmen polite and efficient.
Con - rather more expensive than I'd anticipated. There was a 70% off sale but our wardrobe (about 3 metres long) still came in at over £3k. This was about 5 years ago. Whilst it wasn't a hard sell as such, the person who came to measure up and give a quote was here over 2 hours before we got a figure and managed to drop into conversation that he wouldn't get paid if we didn't sign up.

We bought a house with them installed
2 years previously. They were in 2 rooms and the sellers left the receipt and it cost 9 grand... Shock

They are "fine" but cheap fiberboard type material

Honestly I preferred my wall fitted ikea pax wardrobes (with custom fancy handles) for £500 in my previous place.

All my hinges/brackets were buckled when we moved in so I claimed for repair on the warranty and in fairness sharps were cool. But the guy who came to fix the 50-something hinges kept lecturing me on oiling the hinges though (as if it was my fault) which gave me the utter rage....

Sharps are really expensive. I’d try to find a local carpenter recommendation if I were you.

Thank you all. Smile

I am leaning towards a local company tbh, but the allure of a 12 year guarantee is quite attractive!

I have 14 year old IKEA pax wardrobes that are in the same condition as the day we built them.

I don't understand why it would be necessary to pay about 5 -10x as much to get something with a guarantee.

You can even get a carpenter to install wood around freestanding wardrobes to make them look built in if you want. Look at IKEA hackers for ideas.

I had my bedroom done, Hammonds wardrobes but through John lewis. I am really pleased with mine, love the quality and really happy with the fit.
It cost me £3500 for a full bedroom,.
