Hi everyone
Is anyone able to recommend a good quality kitten dry food that wont cost me earth?
Our vet made an error on price and he has been eating Purina pro plan but at £20 for a 1.5kg bag not sure I want to spend so much.

He is nearly 5 months and recently been neutered. There are so many brands out there I am getting confused! Thank you!

I like Iams. It has a pretty good percentage of meat in it for the price and is stocked by all the supermarkets. About £11 for 2kg. Although you could just get the Purina Pro Plan from somewhere else, I suspect you can get it much cheaper than the vet's been charging you.

It's a case of quality food costing more I'm afraid. You might have to compromise at some point. Poor quality, cheap food can cause health issues.

Look at James Wellbeloved perhaps. Pets At Home do their own range of dry food as well.

Whatever you do, don't feed Go Cat and the ilk.

More expensive but they do an economy pack, my cat loves this one_

This is cheaper

Worth keeping an eye on zooplus for their offers/economy packs, and fetch for offers too. Use Quidco for cashback and always order enough for free delivery when it's on offer!

I've been very impressed by the Lidl dry cat foods our rescue boy is extremely picky-picky but he really enjoys this one 😻

I used AVA kitten dry food from pets at home. High meat and low/no grains are best for cats

@QueenPaws thank you for the suggestions, I'll have a look through all of those. And thanks to everyone else too. I'll have a look.

Its tricky because I want to feed him good quality food of course, just hoping for something that isnt quite so expensive X

My two eat this brand - it’s from Germany and the only stuff that doesn’t upset their stomachs. Been through many brands and vet visits to get there.
