I've been using these for a few months. There were no instructions but it's just dawned on me that I've been using them incorrectly.
They have various smooth patterned sides but all have a charcoal- coloured soft fleecy side.
I've been using the patterned side against my skin.
This is wrong, isn't it? It should be the fleecy side (?)
Or shouldn't it?
If I use the fleecy side I can't see how much blood lost, though.
Sorry if TMI but it is a period question.

Yep fleecy side to skin! 😊 I find that too it is hard to tell how heavy the bloody loss is with them.

It depends on the material - if the patterned material is that slightly shiny/water-resistant stuff then yes you’ve been wearing them the wrong way round. If it’s just cotton though then you do wear them pattern side up - the fleece helps grip your knickers on the other side. I have both kinds from different brands and much prefer the cotton-side up ones.

Yes you should use the soft fleecy side - that’s why it is soft and fleecy! The patterned side is (at least partially) waterproof to protect your pants. not sure how you could use it tbh.

You can’t see how much blood (probably only a moon cup would tell you that) but you can get white-fleece ones if you want (the black are specifically so you can’t see bloodstains).
