Morning Mumsnet! What are you all up to today?

I'm just enjoying my quiet cup of tea, there are a pair of squirrels in the sycamore at the end of my garden that I've been watching.

Everyone else is sock on so I'm going to iron & wash last night's pots in silence then fetch the Christmas tree downstairs.

We're putting that up this afternoon & both girls wanted to make paper chains. I've started crocheting a stocking so will do some more of that...I hope I have time to do 2 before Christmas but I am very slow.

Chicken burgers for tea, with wedges. And probably a or two for me.

What about everyone else? :)

DH is off to get stuff to fix our broken bookcase. I am very excited with the prospect of us then being able to reload the bookcase with everything which is currently all over the house.

The DC have been instructed to write their letters to FC so that I can hit “buy now” on a very large basket of stuff in the playmobil store. I’ve also promised them we will play on the Wii together.

Beef stew and Strictly later.

Should be all right.

Urghh we're in end of kitchen extension hell and are having our flooring put down today. Half the kitchen is now spread out across the house and there is dust everywhere.

In normal circumstances we'd escape to a cafe for lunch but the best I can do is sandwiches from our local Tesco!

DH has taken DDog for a walk. I’m still in bed but I have emptied the dishwasher and fussed the DCats.

After lunch we are going to my DMs to do her Christmas decorations. It’s too much for her to do by herself. She has about a billion so we do them quite early to give her lots of time to enjoy them. Might do our own tomorrow which will take a fraction of the time!

I love these threads. I have nothing to contribute but they make me warm and fuzzy

We went to get a christmas tree this morning, its in its stand thing, my son is using his telly time right now.

When he has finished his telly time we’re going on a bike ride and stopping at our bubbles house for lunch. While we’re gone my partner is going to decorate the tree.

Later we have a video call with the person doing our engagement photos to finalise everything before it goes ahead next weekend.

Hopefully we’ll watch strictly later, but my son had a danger nap on the drive to/from the christmas tree farm this morning, so he’ll probably be up later this evening.

Drinking coffee and eating hot pan au chocolate with chopped strawberries . Putting off trying to organise the kitchen it's been decorated and now everything needs to be put back in its place. Will pop out later for a few bits then fakeaway kfc for tea. Not very exciting but it's so grey here it's hard to have motivation!!

We are having a very lazy morning and are all in our pjs still. DH is on his phone and watching Soccer AM. DS1 is FaceTiming his friend while they both play on roblox. DS2 has made an almighty mess in the living room with moshi monsters everywhere, but he's having fun. I'm MNg and having a cup of tea, but I am about to go and have a shower/get dressed.

Going out for a walk later to get some fresh air and will probably come back via the park so the DC can play for a bit. Then some board games this afternoon, some cleaning and sorting, dinner, baths for the DC, and a film and wine for me and DH. Christmas decs went up last week here!

Off to Tesco to get salmon and Christmas lights, getting decorations down from the loft, doing some online Christmas shopping, laundry, tidying, and hopefully an Indian takeaway later.

Just resting after madly cleaning the house ready for a viewing this afternoon. So hard to keep it tidy for viewings with three kids around.
Baby going to sleep now with dh supervising. Older dc staring at screens.
Later we will go out while dh shows the house. It’s raining and it’s lockdown so no idea where we will go..
