Just wondering if you'd recommend? Looking for present ideas for my 3 year old and I'd like her to have something fun to learn her numbers and letters with. Not sure if it would work out expensive with the books that you need to buy extra!

Hello!
Bumping this as I'm having a nosey at them but struggling to find it on the usual entertainer and Amazon, are they no longer stocked?
Also the books seem to be around £10 each, are they worth it?

Also what's the difference between the leap story books and leap story 3d, will the normal leap story work in a 3d system?

Yes think normal nal one will work with 3D book. I've just bought a load of books for Xmas, got the leap start book in a charity shop for £3. My 3 year old loves it and enjoys practicing tracing letters and numbers.

Tbh not sure the books are worth £10, guess it depends how quickly your DC will complete and get bored with them. But you can buy bundles 2nd hand, which is good value.

That's what I was thinking, buying the unit and books second hand as I'm not sure if my toddler will use it or not.

These seem to now be discontinued or clearance (and then out of stock when i add to the basket). I wonder if something new is coming out to replace it?

I didn't bother buying them in the end! I think DD would rather I read to her than an electronic voice anyway plus it's a lot cheaper to buy regular books!

I had them to be honest children didn,t engage that much. By the time they understood them they were almost too old for them anyway.

PinkDaydreams · 27/12/2020 08:19

Perfect thank you! To be honest I read to him loads anyway and we are at the library a few times a week, I won't bother with one!

We have one although it is very old, passed to us by a friends who's kids are now teens...

It is so annoying. Good escapeWink

Sometimes it works, but often the kids don't manage to have the pens in exact right spot and it repeats endlessly. My older one has use jt, but can read. My three year old just gets frustrated with it

Def other fun and less annoying ways to learn out there!
