Is ASD considered a “chronic medical condition”?

Seems like a very random question lol

The reason I ask- I was just doing a job application online and they have the following section:

“This box should only be used where your education has been significantly disrupted or disadvantaged through health or personal problems, disability or difficulties with schooling.

Please select below... (tick box)
A serious a cute or chronic medical condition (especially since the age 14)... “

(It has a few other tick boxes but they definitely don’t apply so left them out)

I have ASD and feel it had a significant effect on my education, but don’t know if it’s appropriate to tick the box as I don’t think it counts as a serious / chronic medical condition?

Just wanted second opinion
Thanks in advance!

NHS website says it isn't a medical condition. www.nhs.uk/conditions/autism/what-is-autism/

Does it have any boxes further down for disability? Is your ASD relevant to your application, Goe example will it impact your ability to do the job or will you require reasonable adjustments to be made for you to do the job?

It's a disability. What are the other boxes?

Thanks for your responses. I ended up submitting my application last night, and decided to leave the box unticked anyway

@user12743356664322user the other boxes were: Significant caring responsibilities or recent bereavement or serious illness within close family
or
Serious disruption to educational provision at school/college

Disability didn’t have a tick box if that makes sense
