Just seen in the news footage from Co-op stores and I'm completely shocked by the behaviour of some customers.

I can't believe that people are behaving like this and really hope that they're dealt with harshly as it's completely unacceptable.

Personally, I'm grateful to all those who have kept the country going during this time and whilst I don't necessarily agree with all the rules, it's no one's fault and I can't comprehend taking it out on others.

I've not witnessed anything like this myself, which means I was unaware how bad some workers are having it.

I saw that.

And was somewhat surprised when they said the woman who smashed a whole shelf of wine bottles (after abreacting to being asked to follow the one-way system) received a caution for criminal damage. I would have expected a prosecution

Hurtandupset2 · 19/11/2020 11:56

Exactly, that's basically saying it's OK to abuse staff. Ridiculous!

I just don't understand the mentality of people that behave like this.

I'm shocked at the behaviour of both customers and staff these days. I didn't enjoy food shopping at the best of times but absolutely loathe it now.

It's disgraceful. I've just been to a small local supermarket and a woman was making a scene much to the embarrassment to the person she was with
She was ranting about the staff, who were just trying to do their job

Hurtandupset2 · 19/11/2020 16:52

I just feel really sorry for them. After all, they don't make the rules and are just trying to do their jobs.
I really wonder what the world is coming to sometimes.

There's many examples on this recent thread

It's ridiculous.

Yep, shop worker here from a supermarket.
If you ever wonder why the shop staff seem a bit short with you, it's probably because we're pissed off telling people a million times a day to stand on the correct spot, don't crowd the person who's not finished packing their shopping yet (especially if they're elderly and not moving as fast as you like, I won't serve you until they've finished), don't hand me your scabby bags and expect me to pack your stuff, don't give me you shitty tissues/ rubbish and look surprised when I don't take it from you, wear your bloody mask properly and DON'T lean round my screen.
Admittedly most people don't do all of the above and are really appreciative, but when you get that one arsehole who puts your back up it sets you on edge for a while, waiting for the next one to turn up! And breathe.

It's completely and utterly brainless to hold employees and key workers responsible for policies you don't approve of, when they didn't create them. Even my kids knew that.
