Just that really. Do/did you wrap your toddler dc's Christmas and birthday presents (say when they were 2 or 3 year olds)? I guess wrapping Xmas presents and keeping them under the tree would look nice but I am wondering if it is worth all the money and effort we put into wrapping presents for them as they don't really care !

It’s good to take all of the packaging off before wrapping, add batteries etc so the toys are good to go. It also means you can get a lot of the packets in the recycling bin the week before so you don’t have it all at once!

Santa has to wrap presents too! Don’t be so lazy! It’s amazing for the kids.

They like the unwrapping bit best but only need 4 or 5 things quite frankly because they will want to play tearing up the paper after 2 presents are unwrapped.

@Justmuddlingalong

My dog unwraps his, very adept at it and unusually he leaves it alone under the tree but it's clear he knows it's his because in the 2 weeks or so leading up he'll nudge it , sniff it etc. That said he doesn't touch human gifts either containing food

I buy a few rolls of paper in January usually in the sale and I wrap as I buy generally - makes it much less of a big job. I buy gradually from September though.

I buy a couple of different rolls as well so Santa's paper is always different. I think not wrapping Santa gifts is a bit sad really sorry. The look on my kids faces when they see their sacks from Santa with unknown parcels! That's the wonder of it isn't it.

They don't get massive things either - it's stocking fillers and some practical bits too but the excitement is in the paper!

If I have spend time cleaning my toilets I'm going to spend some time wrapping my kids gifts. You don't get many years of magic so enjoy it while it lasts!

Santa got them a trampoline though a few years back and he wrapped the patio doors. That was fun on Christmas Eve after a few too many glasses of bubbles! Santa's calmed down a bit now with size of gifts! Grin

Absolutely! My son loved/loves opening presents at this age. It takes forever and presents take up to a week to open but we let him do at his own pace. I think if they were unwrapped he'd get through them and lose interest much quicker.

Yes I wrap all presents always. Even when they were babies
