I've been up a long while already, everyone else is still sock on. It's silent outside & slightly foggy, I'm quite enjoying my cup of tea watching the leaves fall off the sycamore & dance their way to the ground.

I have the usual weekend stuff to do - couple of wash loads, ironing dd1's shirts, baking for next week.

Myself and dd2 are currently isolating as our bubble at school popped so I might start a steady craft project with her that we can do on an afternoon once online school is done. Not sure what yet though.

Not sure whether dd1 wants to do anything yet; we'll see when she gets up.

I might send her for a walk to lidl for salad with their dad so she still gets some fresh air & out for a bit, as unexciting as that is!

What about everyone else? Anyone up to much?

We’ve put away the Ocado delivery, and DP is making toast and some more coffee.
DD(6) is in a funny mood and doesn’t want to get up, so we’ve left her to it!
Beautiful day here, cold but sunny. Hopefully we’ll be able to drag DD out for a run around the local country park at some point.

hotcrosswhat · 07/11/2020 09:46

I love these threads too ☺️ it's cold but bright here so DH and I are going for a walk in a bit (he loves walking, I got fed up with it last lockdown!! But I love this weather). Apart from that just the usual chores and relaxing at home.

ilovebagpuss · 07/11/2020 09:53

Morning @lucysmam thanks for the thread. I had a positive test a few weeks ago and we all had to isolate god it was boring except for the billion T&T trace calls every day.
Not much on here today just showered, DH has noisily done the dishwasher and provided more coffee.
DD’s still in rooms although think DD13 has showered. Lots of housework to do we have no clean towels left. Our washing machine lives in the garage and I just can’t face going out to it!
I’m going to make some mince pies with DD11 for something to do and we need to use up an old jar of mincemeat.
Wow what a thriller of a day Grin

@UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername

Currently waiting for saussies and rashers to cook. After that, DH is going to finish putting Halloween in the attic if he knows what's good for him and the kids and I are going to plant paperwhites for family christmas gifts. I'm going to give the place a good dust and hoover as well, and clean the bathrooms. In between, I need to pop out a few times and encourage our wee broody hen out for some food and water. She has no eggs anyway because we ate them so I don't want her to waste away sitting on nothing and losing weight before winter.

Tomorrow, we're making christmas cake, then probably lighting the fire and watching a christmas film while the house fills with spicy, citrusy smells.

Just read this and though 'I'll have to put my Halloween decorations away today' then looked up and realised the cleaner beat me to it when she was here on Thursday, they were all taken down and I didnt even realised Blush.

I wrapped a few Christmas presents this morning and bought some colourful Christmas lights that 18m old will hopefully love.

AuntieStella · 07/11/2020 09:58

I'm about to go for a run - probably about 10k - nice and slow

Lots of laundry needs doing, so that will punctuate the day.

DC will be doing a mixture of lying round like slugs and homework, and deciding how to meet their mates in ways are aren't outrageous breaches of the rules.

LunaNorth · 07/11/2020 10:04

I only woke up 15 minutes ago Blush

Will take the dogs to the Paw Park later.

Saturday night is movie night so we’ll be watching a film.

I might make a chilli.

Glenthebattleostrich · 07/11/2020 10:07

Clean house this morning
Long dog walk this afternoon and hopefully my joiner will be finishing some work while we are out.

If he does, rearrange the kitchen and put stuff in its new home!

FromTheAllotment · 07/11/2020 10:08

Plans... go to the allotment, get the DC to do their homework, I have various little jobs I’m looking forward to like planting up some bulbs and reading up on a potential new work project. Strictly later, yay.

But also I feel like we’re still in the stage of life where it is so bloody difficult to get anything done with small children around. DS is 4 and can be relied upon to interfere with everything. So everything I want to do today feels like it will be a battle instead of something to look forward to. Consequently, I’m still in bed longing for another coffee, DH has dozed off again, and the DC are watching telly. So not a great start. Confused

barberousbarbara · 07/11/2020 10:11

DP is working overtime so I've had a leisurely start to the day. I'll do some cleaning and tidying, followed by a work out. The rest of the day will be spent pottering until DP gets home. We might order a takeaway later

kitschplease · 07/11/2020 10:14

Back in bed with a coffee while the kids roblox their hearts out. Chores ahead and I want to make the most of the sunshine by going for a run and doing some overdue garden jobs.

DollyMixtureLulus · 07/11/2020 10:15

Another happy potterer. Freezing and foggy so not rushing anywhere!

I’ve been struggling to eat but have now had breakfast every day this week. Quite proud of myself.

GenuineKlatchianPottery · 07/11/2020 10:34

I’ve ordered Christmas presents for my DDs. I’ve also ordered fleecy quilt covers for me and DD to go with our new brushed cotton sheets, I’m really excited for them Blush.
I have to pop out this afternoon to collect a prescription from the chemist, but that’s only across the road.
Cheese burgers for dinner tonight, we’re half way through rewatching SVU.
Other than that I’m doing sod all this weekendSmile

Sheknowsaboutme · 07/11/2020 10:37

I woke at 4:30 and decided to walk up the mountain to see the sun rising. Took a flask of coffee and a belvita for company.

Logs delivery at lunchtime then a walk with my friend and chilli for tea

HelloCanYouHearMe · 07/11/2020 10:56

DS and I are baking a chocolate cake and i'm waiting for a plumber to come round to fix my shower

After that DS are off out for some fresh air and when we get back cake will be consumed!!

yourusernamenotavailable · 07/11/2020 10:58

Decluttering and trying to do the messy house boot camp tomm thing but I have a newborn and 2 y o and older dc so it’s .....challenging
But dh is v v helpful so that’s something I just want a nice tidy home as mess and clutter affects me.

Bluewavescrashing · 07/11/2020 11:01

DD and I went for a walk to get some bread from the local shop just now. And some doughnuts.

Later DH will take the DCs to the basketball court in our local park as they have new basketballs and want to shoot some hoops. I'm planning a nap!

Couple of loads of washing, change beds, clean bathrooms. Film this evening with a takeaway.

Tomorrow - going into work (teacher) in the morning. Then off to the beach or woods for a walk.

SimonJT · 07/11/2020 11:12

First thing my son, pup and I cycled to Hampstead Heath, the pup had a good run around as did my son. We had a nice snack before cycling home. I have a babboe, sadly our puppy doesn’t cycle his own two wheeler.

I’m doing a rugby training session over zoom at 11:30, no idea how that is going to work.

Later my son and I are going to make some diwali snacks (it is also celebrated by sikhs) and I’m going to try and fashion a fake kesh for him to take some diwali photos, he won the battle of the hair so its short now.

This evening I’m having a knitting lesson over zoom, I lack patience, as does the friend giving the lesson, I can already feel the arguments brewing.

Not sure what my partners plans are, lazy slob is still in bed.

lucysmam · 07/11/2020 11:20

@SimonJT I've been teaching myself to crochet & getting very frustrated. I get my friend to troubleshoot over messenger pics & get very annoyed when she tells me to go back and do a granny square again for practise if I can't do what I want Grin. I suspect doing it over a zoom call would be worse!

NorthernPowermouse · 07/11/2020 11:29

Homework and cleaning here this morning. Will watch the footy at lunchtime then try to coax kids out for a walk this aft. Chilli for tea. I also need to make my sloe gin at some point - I know it’s late but I only managed to pick the sloes (unexpectedly) last weekend.

TakemedowntoPotatoCity · 07/11/2020 11:29

It's DD's birthday! So we are doing.....Not a lot, due to lockdown :( still I'm sure she won't be too devastated when she sees she has a Nintendo switch and Animal Crossing Wink

HollyandIvyandallthingsYule · 07/11/2020 11:58

Morning @lucysmam!

We’ve had a cup of coffee with biscuits (in bed! I used to detest that until very recently...but we’re both good at not getting crumbs in the bedding), then we’ve been chilling and had a long conversation on various matters whilst he was playing Candy Crush and I was MNetting. Now I’ve made us a cup of tea and we’re watching YouTube travelogues. In a little while I’ll go down and make us a cooked breakfast for brunch.

Daydreamsinglorioustechnicolor · 07/11/2020 12:00

DS 13th today. He's OK about it, we squeezed in family go carting and burger out last week.
Anxiousannie32 · 07/11/2020 12:03

Ashamed to say that ds and I have both been on tablets all morning. Him playing games and me watching tik tok Blush
We've had a nice cooked breakfast and will try and get out for a stroll later when the mist clears a little. Then takeaway and film tonight. Trying not to feel guilty about being so disgustingly lazy.

KungFuWeetabix · 07/11/2020 12:03

Still in bed, watching The Last Leg from last night. Planning to make a calorific lunch then drag us all out for our first family walk since lockdown 1.0.
Usually have to be up and out by 9:45 to take DS2 to a club on Saturdays, so I'm enjoying my lie in!
DH has been up and done a zoom meeting for a local community group and DCs are in front of various screens. I've been glued to mine this week watching the US election unfold, hence the need for a walk!

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 07/11/2020 12:04

DH is cooking sth with fried vegetables and rice.
DD is doing uni work, her 3rd semester started this week.
DS is reading and I just finished most of the cleaning. The kitchen needs to be done but I'll do that after our meal.

The Expolingua programme came out - all online this year - and I've registerd for a few taster lessons in languages I would not ordinarily come into contact with.
