I find my self going to the bedroom to watch tv if the other 4 watch football.

Or do you all watch the same programme?

No but 4 tv in total one in frontroom rest in bedrooms as we all support different football teams etc so when one wants to watch the rest of us don't have to ( teenagers tv also for use with consols)
Also me and dh have quite different taste in tv , certain things we both like but a lot we don't both like and I am not going to sit downstairs watching something I don't like to spend time with dh rather do that doing things we both want to

@FraughtwithGin

What's a lounge? I thought only hotels had lounges.
I think it’s a sitting room. Presumably not a drawing room given that most people do not live in a Jane Austen novel.

(You do realise there are lounges at airports too, I presume?)

@TweeBree

I’ve the biggest in the bedroom a 65 inch

Bloody hell, how far away is the bed from it?

Ouch. Neck strain.

I disapprove of lots of television sets so I thoroughly approve of your setup!

We converted the integral garage after first lockdown so we had a second room.

We have a sitting room which is the more formal room that Dh generally use( Dd is 22 and at uni and Ds is 17)
Family room is off the kitchen, it now has sky multi room as was sick of sport on all the time!

Small London flat dweller here. I wish I had a separate lounge! All in one I am afraid.

Bluntness100 · 06/11/2020 21:13

Yes, kind of.

In our first home we had one in the bedroom and one in the living room, like you do now. We don’t have a tv in the bedroom now.

In subsequent homes we have turned the dining room into a second living room, or play room as we call it, because it has the PlayStation x box etc in there, and it gets much more use than a dining room for us, as we have a dining kitchen and although we socialise a lot, I don’t do formal dinner parties and we all eat in the kitchen.

We tend to watch the tv together, I’m not a big tv watcher, so don’t mind if my husband is watching sport, but if I really want to watch something and He wants to watch something else, he will go into the other living room to watch it. It’s rare though.

The tv in that room is mainly used for gaming , as both my husband and daughter like to game, I seldom ever use the room and can’t recall ever watching a tv program in there to be honest.

So yes, basically we have a separate room with a tv etc in it that we can use if we wish to watch separate programs.

No.

loobylou10 · 06/11/2020 21:20

Yes we have a playroom (although both kids adults now so it feels weird still calling it that) with a tv in and then the lounge (yes we call it a lounge up north) with another tv in.
Lovely having the choice to be in either

Dinosauraddict · 06/11/2020 21:57

Main tv is in the lounge, DH has his own games room with multiple screens/consoles etc and then I have my drawing room which I keep purposefully screen free!

Sometimesonly · 06/11/2020 22:01

Only one here which is why I'm in bed on my phone!
