Dryer and clothes shrinking

Hi, apologies for another dryer thread.. Brain fog moment here after reading too muc so please help me

We don't have a dryer but with 4 persons in house, we need one. I was set on buying heat pump dryer on account of more energy efficiency and good for environment etc.. But after reading some more I am not sure if it's worth spending extra. Out budget can stretch to heat pump dryer so money..

Are condenser dryers harsher on clothes than heat pump dryer? I don't care about the time taken to dry clothes (we currently wait 10 hours on an airer with dehumidifier so even if its 3/4 hours it's OK) but more concerned about any shrinking clothes..

Any thoughts/suggestions?

Thanks

What?! Surely you just follow label instructions?!

I love my heat pump dryer! It doesn't take any longer than my previous condenser.

Never had a problem with shrinkage. Mine has a sensor so it stops when they are dry, they probably all have a sensor on but I'd recommend this feature.

The clothes aren't that hot when they finish drying, it doesn't dry the life out of them.

Thank you. Any chance I can ask for a model number? Thanks

Hi it's a beko dsx83410W although I'm fairly sure this model has been discontinued

I've found things shrink so I'm just careful about what I put in.

I've always had a dryer and have never had issues with shrinking. You just have to use the dryer properly.

We have a beko condenser dryer, it's our second one and I love to. Takes about an hour to dry a load.

Things do shrink, marginally. I just accept it and buy bigger sizes 🤣🤣🤣

My friend has a Samsung and it just runs too hot and does shrink clothes. I wouldn't often tell him not to put his golf shirts in but he does and they all short now.

I have a Miele and it does tend to shrink jeans a bit more than line drying, but the nice thing about jeans are that they stretch out again after wearing for a while. So I don't put skinny jeans in, just case.
