With a glass of wine in hand what is your go to recipe?

The things you don't have time to make on a week night or on a busy day and are just delicious.

All recipes gratefully received Grin

The best, tastiest thing that goes with any roast anything is a whole roast bulb of garlic. It adds so much and is so easy. Then you can spread it on roast meat / on bread with butter / add it to veggies.

Not technically what you’re asking for but do this with any roast dishes suggested. So good!!

Though I’m now vegetarian so use paneer rather than chicken.

Biriyani, done the traditional way this dish takes a lot of time. I also like a dish called haleem which is based on melt in your mouth lamb and a mixture of lentils. It took me four and a half hours to cook last time, so I went and bought a pressure cooker to see if I can get the same taste in less than half the time.

Takes a long time but very low maintenance - braised oxtail ragout with pappardelle. Just red wine and passata, maybe a bay leaf and celery stick if you're feeling fancy, and leave it for hours. Pull the meat off the bones and discard wobbly bits of you're fussy (I am).
