How do you which kids clothes to declutter?

What makes you decide? Holes, worn out, stains, shrinkage? Or do you carry on making them wear it till they don't fit? I declutter when any of those things mentioned are apparent (maybe I'll ignore some stains) because it's a hassle when they wear them outside and the new things get left. But I've noticed a lot of parents don't care...especially for the younger ones.

Mine are 7, 5 and 1 and they tend to grow out of stuff before any of those things become an issue.
I’d get rid of something with a bad, obvious stain that couldn’t be shifted. Or if something shrinks, as obviously it wouldn’t fit anymore. It would depend where a hole is... on a seam and I’d sew it up. Anywhere else and I’d probably get rid, although I don’t recall that ever happening.

Any clothes which become unwearable for whatever reason. Outgrown, ripped etc. Stains, depends what the stain is and what the item is (not worried about paint stains on uniform for example, but do care about food stains.stuff for playing the muddy garden is a lot more worn than nice stuff for going out)

My DC usually grow out of things before any of that kind of thing happens to them. If they are worn out or have holes I would throw them out. Stains depends on the age of the child. E.g. if they go to nursery I would let them go in stained clothes, as they'll get more stains
