Admin / Parentmail / Logistics support for working parents

Does anyone know of a service that provides help to working parents specifically just with kids parentmail / necessities for the coming week etc? A kind of daily summary of what they will need instead of the parent having to wade through 10 parent mails a day?

I just put reminders in my Google calendar.

What age are your children? If secondary I expected them to manage it. If primary I would go through everything on Friday for next week.

Thanks for your response. Mine are secondary and primary and of course the secondary one mostly looks after herself and the other x2 are much more involved. But as a working parent I feel over-whelmed by the thousands of messages / Whatsapps and if you only go through it once a week - don't you miss stuff mid week that's suddenly sprung on your by the school?! Maybe your school is better with their comms than mine! x

It sounds like you would need to hire a virtual PA or admin assistant if you want someone to check these things for you. I don't know about any apps or anything..

Just put stuff in your calendar as and when it comes in / you first see it.

The WhatsApp’s can’t be official and usually relate to Millie losing another cardigan so just read them every so often

I put stuff in my work calendar to keep track as it's the one I look atone. Other stuff I try action asap.

If you're that busy I'd not bother with unofficial channels like mum's WhatsApps. I had 2/3 mum friends and we would remind each other of important stuff.

I would suggest leaving any WhatsApp groups and only bothering with official letters/emails.

Nothing is very important tbh, I put two pound coins permanently in their bag in case I forgot any charity things, didn't bother much with dress up days, and just quizzed the kids a lot about what was coming up.

Some schools are worse than others though.

I've got two kids most of the way through primary and seriously do not find (as a working parent myself) any issues in this area.

We get a letter out at the start of each term with important dates (which I add to my work outlook).

We get a text the day before any of them as a reminder.
