If you wanted to and could move to any country in the world (irrespective of visas and Brexit and all of that) where would you go?

Also including, just being able to live 6 months in the other country and 6 months at home to see friends/family etc. And being able to work in both or afford it otherwise.

Pure fantasy land!

If I won many millions and never had to work in my life, probably Switzerland. I just love everything there: the mountains, punctuality, cheese, chocolate, amazing public transport, heart of Europe.

The reason I would not live there without winning the lottery:
-Immense cost of living (I come from a third world country and moving would mean giving up a middle class lifestyle to probably qualify for all sorts of benefits).
-Tiny maternity leave.
-Long hours at work! I get that it's a work hard, play hard mentality, but I wouldn't cope with those sorts of hours.

A more reasonable place that I found where the things above aren't quite the factor is Germany. Not Munich, unfortunately, but I suppose I could holiday there sometimes.

France. I have been in love with France since I was 17 years old. And I WILL live there one day

Japan. Been twice with my husbands job. Wonderful people. Like most here I'd have to win the lottery though

Winters in the Swiss Alps and summers in the Scottish Highlands.

New Zealand. I have traveled a fair but and always love going home to the UK but this was the first place that made me think "yeah, I could live here ".
Or Ireland.

Norway. It’s so so beautiful and I love the way of life and how it’s governed. But I couldn’t cope with the long, long winters, so it would have to be six months there six months here.

Interesting to see the votes for Costa Rica! I've been there twice and DH and I used to say we'd buy a house there if we won the lotto. Though realistically i dont know if i could cope with the heat, creepy crawlies and 6pm sunset long term....maybe 6 months of the year though 😁

A more realistic option would probably be the Atlantic coast of France. I love the French lifestyle and the beaches on that coast are fab.

France or any of the scandi countries. We've got lots of family and friends in all of those places so I would love it.

Sweden or Denmark. Have never even visited either but there's just something about them I find so appealing, if that makes any sense!

New Zealand (either Coromandel Peninsula or Abel Tasman) or Canada (West Coast/ Rockies) for me.

Majorca for me 😍 or one of the Canaries, or possibly a Greek island. My house would have to have amazing, uninterrupted, sea views as I miss the sea so much where I live now 😔

Home. As in NZ. Right back in my shaky little part of not paradise, but perfect for me, in Christchurch.
