Just back from a lovely couple of days at a very good hotel in UK. For context, the bill for 4 adults, including lots of excellent food and drink was over £1500 for two nights. Not what we'd usually do but it hasn't been a usual year . I knew what it would cost and was happy to spend it for various reasons around this rotten year.
Anyway, mobile reception was hit and miss and I rang DSs' room twice which they didn't answer and have been charged 42p.
Now, I am well aware 42p is neither here nor there, but really? I'm sure I've called them in a hotel room before and never been charged. Even BT don't charge if there's no answer.
Ridiculous, I know but it's taken the shine off a bit.
