Just happened today. Needing to see dentist and have appt for Thurs. Has anyone had such a thing and what happened.

Hoping it doesn't cost a fortune.

I have participated in a covid research study so awaiting the test result too hoping it comes back soon so can see the dentist. Worried din case it gets painful. It's ok now but feeling sensitive. Argh

Sad face after reading your posts...just had this done and was £400 for 1 bad chip and 2 teeth with minor attention (composite). The dentist said it looked as if I was grinding my teeth in the night and wanted to protect the bottoms so that the composite was ground if that was happening.

I didn't think anything of it but I must say, for me it has taken some getting used to. Still feels really 'alien' and for a few nights, was so noticeable at night (which did tie in with the possible grinding). And to avoid staining I couldn't have coffee or wine for 24 hours (and other things but those 2 got my attention)! So I hadn't expected that,

Yes it feels a bit weird. It definitely looks a bit bigger than the other tooth as well, but hoping that will be better after the next appt if they shave it down. (who knows when, after the routine appts become available I guess)

It feels much better than the sharp broken tooth though. It's all been quite a drama. So glad they saw me quickly and sorted it, worth it to have a decent dentist. My insurance is only about ten pounds a month and so worth it

Yes, I was also relieved that the fix was pretty quick, considering the times.

I suppose of the dentists are only doing emergencies not routine (like ours) that works out as can get seen quickly, perhaps

It helps with my insurance as it usually pays half the treatment costs unless it is urgent / emergency in which case it covers the whole cost but only treatment done in the initial emergency appointment.

It's a but painful now but hopefully will settle down. At least we can see dentists now, there was time we couldn't see them at all wasn't there during the lockdown.
