A group of about 12dc all from the same household (school)
Aged 16+, would obviously speak to parent first, make sure not much alcohol, etc.
The next day they'd all be in school together.

My worry, they've already been pulled by Police once, they aren't breaking any laws being out, and were told as much but all had their names and addresses taken.

Is there some kind of question here? Your initial post isn’t clear at all.

Yes, sorry. I meant to ask if others would allow it.

So far I can't see any laws being broken though. If anyone complains they aren't breaking any laws. I just don't want her to go and maybe be out and about and being stopped all the time.
Nor do I want her to catch covid.
But atm everyone thinks I'm mean mum. She'll be the only one not going so I need a good reason.

To those saying it's illegal it isn't, as they are considered a household by law. Boarding schools have different rules due to them living together.
They have to be in households, they can't mix with others in the school, and have to socially distance and masks, but their own households are considered the same as your own family household.

There is only one boarding school in Manchester, isn't there. So this is quite identifiable.

Spied · 26/10/2020 18:15

Just. NO.

Yes, that may be so, but if they're going to a party together as a household of 12 OUTSIDE of school, that is definitely illegal.
Once they come into contact with people outside of their "household bubble" that's no longer classed as just their household.

Bailey0703 · 26/10/2020 18:16

Regardless of the law .. or 'advice'... SURELY plain common sense tells you that the area they are in has a high percentage of a virus that can kill/seriously injure health/make people sick for a long time. Would tell you without any need for advice that this is a supremely stupid idea..

ScrabApple · 26/10/2020 18:17

Even if it wasn't illegal, they and you need to give your heads a wobble. Alright, they MIGHT not catch it but they could give it to someone who gets very very ill. It's shit, but tough luck on them. Do the right thing. And frankly, if the school get wind of it they may well want to isolate the children as a result.

Bailey

I know, but sometimes when you are the mean mum, you need a bit of reassurance you are making the right call.

This is why youths think they can go about flouting the law! There’s absolutely no need to have this party. End of.

Devilesko · 26/10/2020 18:25

Quaagars

It was just the 12 nobody else from anywhere else, no mixing.
Well apart from the mother, the dad works away.

She's not going, both me and dh said not. But apart from halcyondays
post, I can't think of anything else to say.

OK, bit better, but the mum supervising them isn't part of the household bubble so it'd still not be allowed.

Is this the same devilesko who is on other threads slagging NHS staff off for not wanting to take a covid vaccine? Or for not wanting to be moved around the country to be used in areas of need?

Devilesko · 26/10/2020 18:44

No, definitely not me.
My name is slightly different due to halloween I'm usually Devlesko.
Haven't commented on anything to do with the NHS.

Yes, the mum, not being part of the household, good going Thanks
