Dinner ideas in a self catering cottage, middle of nowhere

We are away for one night. Stopping for a Sunday lunch first but this evening staying in a cottage.

Will have a fully equipped kitchen but I don’t want to spend too long on it! Two adults and two children who will eat anything (including grown up food).

Can anyone give me some ideas for a fancy stay in easy dinner?!

If you had Sunday lunch would you need a big meal later? I’d just go for crusty bread, meats and cheeses, pickles and salad and decent amount of wine.

Lasagne (decent shop bought such as Cook or M&S), garlic bread and salad.

Buy ready made pizzas? Perhaps along with onion rings and potato wedges.

I agree with pp. Just get some nice bread and whatever fancies you. Cut up and put it on a platter to share.

We do this often when we go out for lunch.

Pasta, pesto, cherry tomatoes, spinach, chopped ready cooked chicken, all mixed together, Parmesan.

Agree with pp. Get a ready meal or a buffet type meal.

You won't need a full meal after Sunday lunch? Agree with everyone else.

Plus crisps and a dessert, unless your having one in the restaurant. I’m always hungry after a roast dinner for some reasonBlush.
