Are your children mixing outside of school?

Ds3 (9) had an invite to go and play at his friend's house. They're in school all day together, they play sports twice a week together. DH seems to think it's ok. We're tier 3 though and I can't agree to it. Apart from the fact that it's illegal, I can't seem to rationalise my thoughts.
I've said no to mum and been honest but find myself over apologising and doubting myself.

We are on tier 3. I am not arranging any meet ups, but on occasion they have bumped into their school friends on the swing park and played with them.

Thanks all. I know I'm right really but when you feel like the only one, it makes you wonder (even dh thought it would be ok because they're in school together)

just outside socialising, in accordance with tier 3 rules. DC2 plays with her mates on the field after school, 13yo DC1 and her mates meet at outside tables at Costa.

not so much among school parents, but work colleagues (NHS!!) are all continuing to make it up as they go along, and I just have to bite my tongue and change the subject.
