Hi everyone, so sorry so many of you are struggling. I have anxiety at night quite often and never thought of reaching out on here. Sorry you are all going through so much but feel much less alone! Actually not that anxious tonight but woke up for a wee and now really guilty that I am quite depressed at the moment and not giving my dd enough attention. Worried about how I will cope with half term, if I can sort the problems in my marriage and if I can ever get a job. But no panic attacks tonight!

DS is still is the nocturnal newborn phase. That's exciting @seaduck, I do hope everything goes well!

Sorry for your loss @justgeton Flowers

Work anxiety. And just found out dp is back texting OW. Despite meds and sleeping tablets, I’ve only slept about 2 hours. Stomach in knots and feeling sick.

Avery7 · 23/10/2020 05:37

My 4 week old DD is nocturnal. Tonight I've only had 2 one hour naps.

I slept great while pregnant and I miss it.

Needallthesleep · 23/10/2020 05:51

I’m the same as @Avery7 with the nocturnal newborn. I’m so so tired. Keep googling how long I can survive with 3 hours sleep per night. I hate wishing the time away but I can’t wait until she sleeps longer.

In the US and watching the post-mortem discussions after the presidential debate, with a large glass of wine in my hand. Election anxiety will induce insomnia later

Porridgeoat · 23/10/2020 06:16

I’ve woken at 4 or 5 pm every morning for weeks due to work stress

DonaldTrumpsChopper · 23/10/2020 06:20

I fell asleep at 9.30pm, woke at 12.30am and couldn't get back to sleep. Moved to the spare room, slept until 5am and have been awake since.

Was the same last Thursday. I'm exhausted by the end of the week, then keep waking in the night for a wee.

Got to drag myself to work in a minute.

Figmentofimagination · 23/10/2020 06:30

Toddler DS woke around 5am. He's back to sleep but I'm wide awake. My mind won't stop running.
FIL is in hospital with covid. They are turning the ventilator off later today. DH and FIL have had a strained relationship the past couple of years so DH has been feeing a lot of guilt since FIL was taken to hospital. The hospital are going to FaceTime us later so we can say goodbye.

Woke up by friend in need. Knew she needed when I see a text at 4am, when I got up to have a wee. So been on the phone chatting to her for a while. We’re meeting after work and she’s coming over so I can support her and we can have a large glass of wine. I imagine we will only need a bottle or two as we’re both be tired 😂
