Is anyone going to try to get away for a few days over half term?

I would love to try for a break somewhere but I just don’t know if it’s more hassle than it’s worth?

We had planned something but all plans now cancelled as dd2 had to isolate from yesterday and I fear we are going to be moved to tier 3 soon. Sad

Absolutely, I am in a tier 1 area but will travel to London for a few days, book up at a hotel and book some museum slots for DD and I.

I'm really looking forward to it - it will be nice and quiet and we won't be getting near anyone so why not?

Yes to a static caravan. Lots of walks in the country are planned.

Why don't you all just stay at home and stop being part of the problem? Just because you can go on holiday if you are lucky enough to not be in a locked down area, doesn't mean you should.

Are there prizes for sacrificing more than we’re asked to?

To clear up some questions upthread, the guidance is to avoid travelling in or out of tier 2 unless it is essential. There's no ban on it but this is what we have been asked to do. It's up to each person whether or not they follow the guidance.
