Do you think there's any famous people on Mumsnet?

With Mumsnet being completely anonymous, I've always wondered if there's any famous people reading and commenting on our posts or even asking us questions 🙈 What do you think?

OP posts:
CaitlinMeringue · 20/10/2020 16:22

Me as well.

rorosemary · 20/10/2020 16:26

It wouldn't surprise me if Meghan used to be on here. Plenty of threads bashing Charles, Kate and William in the past, but any criticism on Meghan gets deleted sharpish.

yawnsvillex · 20/10/2020 16:30

Yes! Jennifer Saunders for sure

DrGachet · 20/10/2020 16:31

I think that's because those threads attract racists.

I was in a copy of Pike & Predator once holding a 28lb pike, is that the kind of thing you mean by famous OP Grin?

TheFairyCaravan · 20/10/2020 16:36

Katie Price has been. There was a cracking thread one night, it went right into the early hours. I was so glad DH was deployed and wasn’t moaning at me to turn the light out.

JonnyDeppWearsSausagePerfume · 20/10/2020 16:39

Jack cooks on a bootstrap, Katie Price, Katie Hopkins, Emma Willis, Welsh woman who presents the One Show, that one on the singing contest everyone seems to hate for some reason (envy probably) can’t remember her name! She went back to work straight after having a baby scandal...?

Fink · 20/10/2020 16:49

I think it depends on what you class as famous. I doubt that many A list celebrities would be on here, but I guess a few of the sort of people who would make it on to Strictly/I'm a Celeb might well be, e.g. soap actors, TV presenters, authors. Kind of minor stars, not really famous.

unmarkedbythat · 20/10/2020 16:50

Real ones? No. Domestic sort-of-slebs? Probably.

nancybotwinbloom · 20/10/2020 16:53

If I was famous I would stay on here. It's funny. Some of the threads really make me laugh.

I like a bit of mumsnet when I'm bored.

Thatwentbadly · 20/10/2020 16:59

@EveryPlanetHasAYorkshire

JK Rowling is on here for sure.

I may or may not be famous. You will have to work that one out for yourselves Smile.

I noticed she used an MN phrase in her latest strike novel. I wish I could remember it now. I think it was getting ducks in a row.
GroundAlmonds · 20/10/2020 17:02

Well you would, wouldn’t you? It must get so irritating to be recognised everywhere. Lovely to be able to go online and be anonymous again.

EveryPlanetHasAYorkshire · 20/10/2020 17:04

Jodie Whittaker is also on here. I know that because she admits to drinking half a bottle of wine a night Smile.

HavelockVetinari · 20/10/2020 17:05

@rslsys

I'm convinced that *@AnyFucker* is really the Queen!
Don't be daft, she's the Duchess of Cambridge. D'uh. Hmm
Zaphodsotherhead · 20/10/2020 17:09

What do you mean by 'famous'?

Celebrities? TV stars? I'm fairly well known in my field, so, ask the right people and I'm 'famous'.

But if you mean Slebs...well.

everybodyknowsus · 20/10/2020 17:09

I remember when Brian Cox's wife posted Grin

MrsWooster · 20/10/2020 17:16

TulipsandDa1s1es · 20/10/2020 17:17

my cousin used to be a MUA on Emmerdale and heard Mumsnet being discussed in her chair. they never said if they commented on things but they're definite readers.

wyetonne · 20/10/2020 18:09

Haha, these are hilarious.

And yes @DrGachet , that's exactly the type I meant

@Zaphodsotherhead I'm intrigued, tell me more Grin

Yes that was it!

chunkyrun · 20/10/2020 18:19

I reckon Kate Middleton is a Aibu regular

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 20/10/2020 18:21

Yes, quite a few well known female journalists that are (not necessarily for the stories) and the wife of a famous chef.

PomBearWithoutHerOFRS · 20/10/2020 19:33

The lovely daughter of a VERY famous writer was on here a while back. I got a signed book 😁😁😁😁 that I cherish, after a conversation about something else entirely when we got chatting.

nosswith · 20/10/2020 19:33

Likely. Not just those who write for The Paper that Supported the Blackshirts.
