I know life is a bit shit just now and people are feeling a bit rubbish, but there has to be other things to be happy and grateful about.

I will start

I am happy with how my OU course is going and even though I am nearly 50 I am really proud I am giving it a go.
I also feel proud that my 16 yr old has reached out to a friend who is having a tough time even though they don't really have much contact any more.

Thank you @TheRealJeanLouise awful isn’t it.
I never realised labs suffered with lumps, so it was a bit scary.

I started a job last year but I have only really worked there for 6 months due to Covid so still feel very much like the new girl. But every day they tell me they don't know what they would do without me and my boss is always so appreciative of all the little things l do, l feel really valued.

Going to have baby number two in the next few weeks hopefully.
DP and I have had some clanging rows lately and we’ve had some really good, proactive conversations, feeling very united front at the mo.

LadyCatStark · 19/10/2020 21:06

DH and I are lucky to have secure jobs, although DH’s are working him too hard!
DS has settled into year 7 at his new Grammar school and is holding his own amongst some very clever children.
I started running in September and am managing to go every morning except about 2 days when the rain has been too heavy. I can now manage 5k without stopping.
Our nightmare tenant is moving out on Friday thank god 😃😃😃

I'm able to see my grandchildren in their garden and going to start baby sitting too.
Can't wait, best news all year, have missed the whole family so much.

DD is 19 months and was the result of IVF after 5 years TTC today I found out she's going to be a big sister the result of a Thursday night after a weekend when I'd drunk to much red wine and had been a stroppy mare with DH so needed to make it up to him Grin

PowPurry · 19/10/2020 21:22

@ArtfulScreamer that’s wonderful congratulations.

HereIgoagainagain · 19/10/2020 21:25

DH and I are getting on well after a rocky year.

I've today bought a kick-ass pair of jeans and they were marked down to £15 and they are a size 10. Grin

WhatzTheCraic · 19/10/2020 21:27

I've been battling a serious illness for the past 6 years and received confirmation this week that I will likely go into remission in the next few months.

BlusteryShowers · 19/10/2020 21:27

I'm looking forward to going back to work after maternity leave. I've had a couple of KIT days and I'm fired up to get back to the classroom in a few weeks.
