If so, how do you cope? Do you manage to have time for yourself as well as working and time with the kids?
I have two dc, 10 and 13, both autistic and in mainstream but with support. I work in a middle management role on 90% of hours. There is going to be a vacancy soon at the next level up, managing a large team. It's the role I've wanted for the last few years but DP is worried if I will cope with the stress. I do the school run 3 days per week currently and also find time to help with homework, go for a run with them twice a week and get them to help with tea twice a week. I also do a bit of running, cycling and yoga on my own and find it helps me destress.
I never do any work at weekends and found lockdown very very stressful when I had to work in the evenings to keep on top of things while teaching most of the day.
No local family so its just me and DP.
Any thoughts welcome.
