Mid week shop for fresh veg and fruit?

I get a weekly Tesco delivery. By mid week the fresh veg and fruit has either gone off or run out. I'm sick of frozen peas or soggy bananas.

What is everyone doing to get that fresh stuff mid week?

Our carrots last as week in the fridge and broccoli not far off

It also depends where you buy it and how fresh it is when you get it

Either I get a second shop delivered, go to a shop or make do with what we have in. I make sure we have food in the freezer and store cupboard stuff. It's nice to have fresh throughout the week but sometimes we do without. It's not essential

We do a big weekly shop in the weekend, and a top off for milk, fruit, veg and anything else forgotten on a wed usually!

I buy every couple f days from our local market, but only a 5 min walk for me.
Some smaller shops sell it if you are in a dash and often delivered daily, I know our Coop does.

I pop to the supermarket mid week.
Small fridge, lots of fresh stuff eaten.

The milkman will also deliver fresh stuff. It ain't cheap though.

I go to lidl and plan my week so that fajitas or something are at the end and I use the jars of peppers and frozen peas.
I also find lidl veg lasts. I pick it myself.
Tend to batch cook so have stuff like spinach already in a batch of curry

Local market.

A bag of frozen spinach is handy in a freezer. At any point I will have onions and carrots as they last well in my fridge. Onions are ok on my cupboard in winter tbh. Add in frozen spinach 10 to 15 minutes before the end, stir when defrosted and it adds a vegetable portion. Similar with frozen green beans and peas.

@WankPuffins

I go to the market a couple of times a week. Luckily there is a great one in my town with cheap fruit and veg.

(I’m a total convert to the market now, went to tesco yesterday and thought I’d get veg there - I’m fucked if I’m paying £1.90 for a single cauliflower when they are 80p at the market!)

I find the fruit and veg which I get delivered with my order every week lasts the week. Wankpuffin - £1.90 is for Tesco's extra large cauli - their normal sized is 69p so cheaper than your market.

We go 10 days between shops and meal plan accordingly, it's no big deal.

First 4 days will be salady options, then into fresh veg, then a few days of frozen green beans etc if needed (often veg keeps longer than a week, peppers, a cucumber etc will all do more than a week here) before next shop. Frozen green beans are lovely, frozen parsnips and carrots fine too. Cauliflower cheese is fine from frozen too and making a batch and freezing avoids the faff of making cheese sauce as often.

I wouldn't go out specifically for veg.

crankley tesco veg here too, unfortunately this week's cauliflower is about the size of my fist, I should have ordered 2 or 3! Grin

I get a fortnightly delivery with no fruit or veg. Do a weekly quick small fresh shop in person at as quiet a time as possible.
