No.

Not usually no but I'm going to a bit more effort this year to make it more fun for DS.

Viv0321 · 17/10/2020 11:58

To be fair I'm not going overboard. I saw a black top on Facebook with black and white striped sleeves so I've got that with a black skirt I already have (so all stuff I'd wear again). Will get a witches hat and a bit of spooky make up.

GigantosaurusRex · 17/10/2020 12:17

I have bought that skeleton from wilko to sit on our front garden bench and we've got an old pallet in the garden that DH will use to make some crosses that we will prop up in plant pots (emptied all the summer flowers!) to make the front a but graveyard like. I'm going to rake one of the extension rods (for net curtains) down and put that in the front door and hang lots of little plastic spiders from it with cotton. All a bit cheap and cheerful (and all reusable!)

GigantosaurusRex · 17/10/2020 12:18

And naturally there will be a pumpkin along with tea lights in various old jam jars if it's not raining!

Invisimamma · 17/10/2020 12:19

I don't usually but thus year we're going to do a little at home Halloween party. I'm just going to wear witches hat, black dress, cobweb tights, dark make up.

Ginfordinner · 17/10/2020 12:20

No. I used to when DD was small and had Halloween parties, but now she is at university Halloween is a non event for us. Like Christmas it is more for children than adults.

Nomnomarrgh · 17/10/2020 12:20

My dd does as she is a child and it makes her happy. At a stretch, I put a bit of face make-up on. I can’t remember doing halloween as a child, so can’t see why I would do it now.

Bickles · 17/10/2020 12:21

Not normally but like @GigantosaurusRex
I’m trying to make an effort for DS this year. I’ve bought a velvet effect cloak and hat from Home Bargains. We’re going on a wizard theme steam train in the afternoon and have a Zoom Halloween invitation for early evening. We were all zoomed out but it’s been months so may be fun!

SimonJT · 17/10/2020 12:44

Absolutely, usually my friends and I hire a venue and have a big halloween celebration before finishing it off as a big night out. Absolutely gutted that we can’t do it this year, we were hoping to have lots of mini parties at the same time using the six person rule, but now we are tier 2 and unlikely to get out of tier 2 before halloween.

Last year I was part of the ninja turtles group, the year before a friend and I were Mario and Luigi, the year before that I was Aladdin and my son was Abu. This year I was going to be Ash Ketchum.

Dontforgetyourbrolly · 17/10/2020 12:45

No just my usual face haha

I’m wearing a jumper with a pumpkin on it, and a Halloween themed hair wrap Grin
