What's the from when someone had a breast enlargement?

Someone I know through a sports club, has been away for several weeks recovering from surgery.

She's back now and it's very obvious what the surgery was, although afaik she hasn't actually told anyone.

Are we supposed not to notice? But presumably she's had it done because she wanted a noticable difference. Is a complimentary comment appropriate, like you would for a new haircut?

Say something or not?

There's never any problem with saying something general like "my you're looking well these days!! do tell me how you manage it!!"

A "you look great" is sufficient said in a way that allows her to offer further information if she wishes. If you haven't been specifically told I wouldn't mention it in a club context (girls night out slightly different)

I would wait for her to tell me, and never comment if she didn’t.

There’s been a lot of threads where many people are convinced that “you’re looking well” means you’ve put on weight. I’ve never understood it myself.
