Hi, I've nc for this, but had another thread in Aug under this name.

Have been through a lot so please be kind, posting here for traffic.
I want to get my life back again with some structure but finding it really tough.
So, if you make your own daily routine, or if it's set for work, I need some examples, I'm that far away.
I know it will differ but some basic ideas would really help. E.g how is the day split up.
Tia.

Do you have any "must dos" like school runs / animal care? They tend to create a framework whether it's convenient or not!

Aside from that, mine is broadly:
7 get up, feed everyone, washed, dressed; 7.45 out, school drop at 8.30
I then have 9-3 to get work done (from home atm). That tends to be 30 mins inbox tackling, morning of meetings, afternoon working through projects, ending with another 30 mins on the inbox.
3-5 school collect, load of laundry, clean up, cook supper
DC in bed by 8, then lots of good intentions but in reality...Netflix Grin

I bought a planner I particularly like - it has a "must do" section per page that has a limit of about 5 things. I like it because that's realistically the maximum "extra" things I'll manage in a day. Some days far fewer... I have one massive list of all the stuff that comes up like pay credit card, ring plumber etc and then I put them in one or two per day. It's called "power planner" and has stickers if that's your kind of thing!

That's the type of thing I mean. I have the planner and know what i'd like/need to do, but I have no framework at all.
No job, no kids at home, absolutely everything to get up for.
Only just got to this point, though.

It's the big list to smaller manageable tasks per day I was struggling with. Too much on the list and then feeling like a failure etc.
'power planner" it is Grin Thanks

Here's an example of one of the daily pages, and the monthly page where I put the longer list. The blue squares are just where I've blanked out any identifiable names /work details Smile I'm not above adding things to the list after I've done them just so I can tick them off

It's a whopper of a planner, almost A4 and hardback and spiral bound, so definitely not handbag sized! But it works for me because I'm mostly at home when I want to use it anyway.
