Is this allowed (mask related)

A local takeaway has a sign up saying "no mask, no service, no exceptions"

Seems a bit unfair in people who can't wear masks

As long as they aren't breaking any discrimination laws I believe shops can admit whoever they choose. If they are prioritising the risk to their staff over possible loss of business that's on them.

As long as they have a way of serving those who genuinely can’t wear one (phone orders to pick up from outside or whatever) then it’s fair enough.

I feel very sorry for those working in retail at the moment. I also feel very sorry for those who genuinely can’t wear a mask. But there are too many people who are very blatant in the fact they won’t wear them because they aren’t “sheep”

It’s all over the US.

You can use a Muslin cloth if you have to, although it doesn’t help that much

I think it is fair enough to prioritise the safety of their staff. A takeaway is hardly an essential item that someone would suffer from the lack of.

It is discrimination on health/ disability grounds, so against the Equal Opportunities act.

It would deter me from attempting to spend my money with them. Their loss.

I can't wear masks but I don't have a disability so I'm just not going in any shops/takeaways/pubs etc. It's shit but I understand why masks are important. However for people with disabilities this isn't ok, there are exceptions which are legally recognised.
