Mrs Hinch and her dog

Hello! I’m not a dog owner but I follow Mrs Hinch who I absolutely adore and her gorgeous boys Henry (the dog) and Ron her son.

My worry is that I read on Mumsnet that dogs are pack animals - and Henry is treated like a human. He’s got his own bed (bedroom) and sits on all the furniture. She did a post yesterday where Henry was on the bed and baby Ron was holding his paw - it felt like Henry was the higher up being in the pecking order.

It might not be an issue with this dog but it gets me worried every time I see her post where the dog is being treated as an equal. I want to message her but I don’t know enough about dogs so might have it wrong!

I agree with PP she does let us into her lives totally.

Also my house is not grey or like hers and neither do I spray everything in my house with chemicals. I also had a Minky before she raved about them. And I don’t have a B&M near me. I’m more of an organic cleaning products user! So Method etc

This person on social media is of no consequence to anyone with a brain. Talking about dogs though, thousands of people have households with dogs in them, and the dogs are treated like a family member, which includes babies and small children..

If you look on You tube, you will find many videos of dogs and cats being pampered, and snuggling up to babies and small children. You either go along with these human and pet connections, or you don't if you think it's all wrong.

We need an LOL emoji on here.

You are correct, having a dog and child that close is idiotic and absolutely a accident waiting to happen but that's for her to deal with. Too many idiots don't respect dogs boundaries and this is why children end up bitten.

KetoPenguin · 14/10/2020 15:57

Has someone really reported her to the RSPCA?? Crazy! Dogs are individuals, some are really laid back the kind that can be trained as therapy dogs for children with autism, others are very sensitive and have behaviour issues that require a lot of management. You know your own dog and work with it.

ClaireEmma43 · 14/10/2020 16:57

@KetoPenguin yes I did!! And if you've seen her latest Instagram stories with Ronnie and the dig you'll see why.

She thinks it's funny that Ronnie don't leave the dog alone, he was tormenting the dog and the dog pawed at his face all the while Hinch is giving the thumbs up sign! She's an irresponsible dog owner

Newschapter · 14/10/2020 18:01

I hadn't seen her story until I saw this thread and omg, she is crazy letting the child and dog be so close.

All it takes is one slip, as my brother found to his detriment when my nephew was young. He is scarred for life from his top lip to his eye and their beloved pet (who absolutely had show NO signs of aggression before) had to be put to sleep.

My brother said it wasn't the dog's fault, the child (who was two at the time) walked right over and shouted in the dog's face when he was sleeping and terrified him. (He was a 'family' breed like Henry too)

But then safety never has been Mrs Hinchliffe's forte, has it? Isn't this the same woman who mixes chemicals and adds zoflora to jars of boiling water?

JuiceyBetty · 14/10/2020 18:10

@Fridgeandkitchen

She’s had this before. Many many many times. Every aspect of her life is pulled to bits by people exactly like you.

Concentrate on yourself. If it bothers you that much unfollow her.

I am sure she doesn’t need your worry.

This. The dog is loved and happy. Get a life OP

@ClaireEmma43

Wow!!! Rude!!

I’ve actually reported Hinch to RSPCA! What she is doing with that dog is disgusting!! Dogs over weight, she feeds it crap and it’s constantly tormented by Ronnieblesshims.

You reported her for spoiling her dog 😂😂😂😂
namechangeforfriday · 14/10/2020 18:26

Loads of people have dogs and children with no issues Confused I think Mrs hinch is a tacky idiot but she’s hardly leaving the kid and dog unsupervised if she’s filming their every move is she.

@Deathraystare etc is wrong with you?

Thesuzle · 16/10/2020 09:37

Oh come on people, dogs are descended from wolves, which are very much pack animals, you bring a dog into your already established pack and it has to find its place, ie. at the bottom. Poor dog is probably driven mad by all the chemical cleaning smells in that house.

HeIsNotTheSun · 16/10/2020 09:44

😂😂😂😂 I cant even with the RSPCA report.

HeIsNotTheSun · 16/10/2020 09:45

deathray i am no huge fan of Mrs Hinch but come on. She’s a real person.

This thread is joyfully nuts. Maybe every one has been inhaling hinch's noxious gasses, sorry cleaning hacks...
